Did you know that speech-language pathologists can evaluate and treat swallowing disorders? In fact, 8% of the world’s population reports dysphagia, or difficulty swallowing (Martin-Harris et al., 2021). Common causes of dysphagia include head and neck cancer, stroke, brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, and even aging.

We are currently recruiting adults for a study investigating the effect of non-invasive brain stimulation on swallowing. If you have trouble swallowing due to a stroke OR if you’re a healthy adult, please contact us to see if you qualify!
